Skilling public sector employees in the use of solar energy!
Kragujevac hosted a workshop in July 5th, aiming to motivate citizens and small and medium-sized enterprises to use solar energy.
The workshop was attended by representatives of 10 local governments (energy managers, project managers, heads of municipal administration, urban planners, representatives from the office for local economic development and more) as well as employees of the City of Kragujevac and public enterprises.
Ana Radojević, Energy Manager of the City of Kragujevac, presented the Balkan Solar Roofs project and the latest technologies in the field of solar energy to participants use to the participants, promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and underlining the importance of joint steps towards a more sustainable future.
A round table was held as part of the workshop; representatives of local self-governments exchanged opinions and experiences regarding the work of the line ministry and national legislation.
Some key recommendations can be extracted from this exchange and could be adressed to decision makers in the future through the Permanent Conference of Cities and Municipalities, the National Alliance for Local Economic Development and others
